Was founded in 1967 as "Aurora Chapter
08" and represents the greater Fox River Valley (
Aurora to Elgin ) including the far western suburbs of Chicago.
After merging with the Elgin, Illinois chapter in 1997,
we changed our name to the Fox Valley chapter to have our name
portray the geographical area that our chapter represents.
We organize three Dances/Community Festivals
( Mardi-Gras )
We also have a Summerfest Picnic, a Family Christmas
Party in December, and organize other fun filled activities such
as brewery tours, winery tours, sleigh rides, Lake Michigan Cruises,
and outings to events like Soccer Games & Milwaukee Germanfest.
We have also worked with the Governors Office of Illinois setting
up cultural displays in the Thompson Center of Chicago.
Our chapter has held German Language
classes for children and adults for over 25 years andpublishes
a quarterly chapter
Above all, we foster fun filled recreational &
educational activities representing our German heritage and culture
for every one to enjoy.
